Sparta Day 2026 raises over R1.2 Million for the community
The Sparta Beef Foundation announced the resounding success of Sparta Day 2026, held on 27 February 2026. With the support of sponsors, partners and the wider community, the event raised over R1.2 million to support charitable initiatives across the Free State and surrounding areas.
This year’s Sparta Day was particularly special, as Sparta Beef celebrated its 60th birthday, adding an extra layer of excitement and significance to the festivities.
Sparta Day showcased the essence of Sparta Beef culture, offering a fun-filled, family-oriented weekend. Over two days, participants took part in golf, fishing, shooting and bowling, making the event a highlight on the social calendar and a true celebration of community. Attendees experienced firsthand the spirit of togetherness and the company’s commitment to giving back.
The funds raised will support the Sparta Beef Foundation’s core programmes, including initiatives to empower the disabled, such as Mama Sophia’s School in Marquard, feed the hungry through community feeding schemes, and educate children in local communities.
Sparta Day continues to grow as a signature event, combining fun and philanthropy. The Foundation looks forward to welcoming supporters to Sparta Day on 26 February 2027, promising another memorable weekend of engagement and impact.
